Mermaid Ondine reports:
Last weekend, Merlesque mermaids Melusine and Ondine were off at an underwater photoshoot. We had a great time at the shoot (well - apart from the chlorine, which is a serious disadvantage for mermaids!). The cherry on top of the cake was when Dave Stewart, a great photographer who comes to a lot of the photoshoots (you can see his Facebook page here) brought along prints of some of his beautiful work for our mermaids to take home. It's such a kind thought - thank you Dave! Also thank you to fellow lovely photographer Mark Jones, who brought a print for Mermaid Ondine to our last shoot.
It's so lovely to see the amazing shots that photographers manage to capture of our mermaids underwater, and having proper prints of the pictures is
Did you know that it costs £3000 per year to look after every mile of coast on the British isles? Mermaid Melusine is toasting the coast in support of all the good work the National Trust South West does to look after mermaid habitats!

Have you ever wanted to see behind the scenes at an underwater photoshoot? Well, now you can! We've put together a few clips showing our mermaids in action at a recent underwater shoot - and you can see even more over at the Merlesque Mermaids Youtube Channel. Our mermaids are experienced underwater models with great breath holds, buoyancy control, and a lot of experience modelling both in mermaid and human form! Our next photoshoot on the 17th May is already fully booked with photographers, but if you'd be interested in coming along next time to get the chance to take beautiful underwater pictures without needing specialist equipment (or to get your feet wet!), please contact us and we'll keep you informed about our upcoming shoots.
Neon Moon events are always hugely popular, so it's definitely recommended that you book in advance. You can find out more about the event and how to book tickets by clicking here.
Mermaid Melusine reports:
Mermaid Ondine was interviewed recently by a journalist from the Irish Examiner, who was writing a piece on the increased popularity of mermaid swimming in Ireland. Ondine's family come from County Clare in the west of Ireland and as a child she loved swimming in the Atlantic, despite the cold - you find out more about her Irish roots and read the full article by clicking here!
Not only do our mermaids offer a hilarious musical comedy cabaret act, as well as magical children's entertainment, but they're also incredible meet and greet performers, who chat to guests while handing out drinks or canapes, singing songs and posing for photos.
The chance to meet a real mermaid is a fantastic surprise for your guests, who'll be enthralled by our selection of cheeky mermaid limericks and songs, and the chance to ask all the questions they've always wanted to ask about life under the sea...
Plus, if you have access to a swimming pool, a tank, or even just a little splash pool, your guests can have the fantastical experience of seeing (or even swimming with!) mermaids in their natural element - the water!
