We love this beautiful photo-collage that was made by the POPSY charity in South Wales after Mermaid Ondine's recent appearance at their mermaid swim event! POPSY is a great charity which supports families whose youngsters are blind, have special needs or life limiting conditions. Mermaid Ondine had a wonderful time meeting and swimming with the POPSY families before joining them for a great party on dry land, featuring some truly amazing mermaid cupcakes! We're hoping to see more of the POPSY family soon.

Coral Reef is an amazing facility, featuring a full-size pirate ship (captained by Pirate Pete, who you can see in the pictures!) and flumes - plus for the VIP party, there were real life mermaids (of course), a DJ set, and even a balloon drop. We had a wonderful time and the lovely staff did a great job of looking after us - it didn't hurt that we got to commandeer Sauna World as our changing room, complete with heated sun loungers and saunas - and as you can see from the photos, we even met the Mayor! Hopefully we'll be returning to this fantastic water park when it opens again in 2017...
Mermaid Ondine reports: Well, the Merlesque mermaids were off to Folkestone on the 8th August, to perform at the Folkestone Mermaid Festival! We'll hopefully have some pictures for you soon, to show you all the fun we had - including being towed through Folkestone's Coastal Park on the back of a truck, as part of the amazing annual Mermaid Parade. It was also lovely to see some familiar faces from the last time we joined the festival back in 2014 - and amazing to see how some little mermaid fans have grown so much in a year! Here's a video of our previous trip to Folkestone, when we performed at last year's festival: Mermaid Ondine reports:
Mermaid Melusine and I love this gorgeous photograph by Andrew Childs Photography, of our appearance on the beach at the Folkestone Mermaid Festival on the 19th July! We had a fabulous time - first we took part in the mermaid parade along the seafront, which featured some great drumming (and highly talented kids with homemade rattles!). Next, we enjoyed lounging in a magical mermaid grotto on the beach, meeting lots of lovely mermaid fans, posing for photographs and talking about life under the sea. Our grotto was event decorated with beautiful fish and jellyfish, handmade by children at the local school Then finally - just as a dramatic electric storm was drawing in from across the sea - we appeared onstage with our musical mermaid cabaret act, including one song written specially for the good people of Folkestone and their Little Mermaid in the harbour... It was a wonderful event, and hopefully we'll follow up with some more photographs shortly. ![]() Mermaid Melusine reports: Good afternoon, merfans! Myself and mermaid Ondine have been getting a little jealous of mermaid Lorelei's adventures in various warm and sunny places! So to cheer ourselves up we've been going through some pictures from last summer, including this lovely set of photos from a children's pool party in Cambridge, taken by local photographer Karen Eng.
And if your child doesn't like the water, or you don't want to hire a pool - don't worry! Our mermaids also do children's parties on dry land, giving every child the chance to meet a mermaid. Plus we offer lots of fun extras like face painting, the chance to dress up in a mermaid tail, arts and crafts, sing-along songs or even a balloon-modelling pirate. Every child is different, so every party is different - get in touch now to discuss how we can make your child's dreams come true!
![]() Mermaid Lorelei reports: Snapped this quick shot of myself before heading off to a children's party gig in London at the weekend. As you can probably guess, we mermaids don't like to stint on the accessories! Hopefully a video tutorial on mermaid make-up will also be coming out soon, for all of you out there who want to achieve that perfect mermaid look... Mermaid Lorelei x ![]() Mermaid Ondine reports: Mermaid Lorelei has been quite the adventurer of late, swimming further and further away from mermaid HQ every couple of weeks. Earlier in the summer we had to send some friendly sailors to fish her out of a Swiss lake... and only a few weeks later, we woke up to find her gone again. This time we tracked her down to St Helen's Beach on the beautiful Isle of Wight, where she'd already made a lot of new friends amongst the local children. You can see some short film clips of her visit on our YouTube channel by clicking here. Mermaid Lorelei was very sad to leave the Isle of Wight, but she's been off travelling once more - first to the sunny south of France, and now she's disappeared again! From a cryptic postcard we received with a picture of a flamenco dancer on it, we think she might have swum away to Spain... Have you seen our mermaid? Let us know!
