Mermaid Melusine Reports... As you may or may not yet know, us mermaids have launched a shop, Made By Mermaids, and I am the resident mermaid portrait artist. Unlike the other two Cambridge University brainiac mermaids, I've been a 100% artist since I was a wee merbaby and I studied Fine Art at a university by the ocean, finding a way to bring a bit of mermaid magic into everything I did!. I make shimmery, glittery mermaid portraits for people who LOVE mermaids, so they can become a beautiful mermaid without even getting wet! And I just wanted to share a lovely mermaid pic I just painted for a client - I call it the Mermaid of Beauty. Enjoy and don't forget to pop on over to our shop to see more! |

Trawlergirl aims to inspire with innovative ideas for celebration and party planning, and today the site includes a feature on the Merlesque mermaids, including lots of lovely pictures and an interview with mermaid Ondine and myself - mermaid Lorelei missed out as she was off sunning herself in the Mediterranean at the time (lucky fish). To see the feature, just click here! ![]() Mermaid Lorelei reports: Snapped this quick shot of myself before heading off to a children's party gig in London at the weekend. As you can probably guess, we mermaids don't like to stint on the accessories! Hopefully a video tutorial on mermaid make-up will also be coming out soon, for all of you out there who want to achieve that perfect mermaid look... Mermaid Lorelei x Mermaid Melusine reports:
The Merlesque mermaids are featured in this week's Take A Break magazine in the UK! Check out the double-page spread (complete with more than one slightly fishy pun) and plenty of lovely mermaid photos. If you want to find out more about the secret life of our mermaid performers, best nip down to your local newsagent in the next few days... ![]() Mermaid Ondine reports: I was delighted to be asked back to my old secondary school on Friday, to give the speech at the school prizegiving/reward ceremony. It was a real privilege to be able to speak to the staff and students about my experiences since leaving school, meet a few of the current students and catch up with some of my old teachers - and I was lucky enough to be presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the end of the ceremony! Afterwards I found out that they had especially requested the florist to provide a flower selection suitable for a mermaid - lots of beautiful blue, purple, and yellow blooms. They're brightening up the rooms of Mermaid HQ as I type (in three separate vases, no less!). So thank you very much to everyone for the beautiful flowers and for inviting me back to speak to you - I thoroughly enjoyed it! Mermaid Ondine a.k.a. Mairead x Mermaid Ondine reports:

And that's just for starters - we have even more treats and trinkets up our sleeves (well... mermaids don't really have sleeves, but you get the picture). So check back soon to find out what else we've added to the treasure trove. |
