All About Merlesque Mermaids

Merlesque Mermaids LLP is the premier and most established mermaid performance company in the UK; we launched in 2012, with our first ever performance in a bathtub filled with glitter! By 2013 our website, YouTube and Facebook pages had gone live, and we were featured for the first time in the Daily Mail, Take A Break magazine and on BBC radio (check out our press page to find out more!).

Today, the company is run by founding mermaids Melusine and Ondine (otherwise known as Demelza Fox and Mairead Claydon) with help from a number of our favourite mermaid and pirate entertainers, who join us for special events and performances.

Based in Cambridge, we perform across the UK and internationally. Our mermaids are multi-talented experts in their field, with years of experience freediving and performing underwater; modelling; singing; storytelling and working with children; and performing everywhere from kids parties to aquariums, and from public festivals to corporate events. Merlesque Mermaids have full public liability insurance and we are able to provide risk assessments for events, as well as using our years of experience to offer advice and guidance on how to make the most of mermaid performers at your event. Our background in the performance business also means that we have contacts at a number of other companies offering aquatic tank hire, underwater photography, and other mermaid-related services, to add a little extra magic to your event.

As real-life mermaids, we at Merlesque are passionate about ocean conservation and education. At the end of every financial year, we donate a percentage of our profits to charities which work to preserve marine ecosystems.
